Academics and extracurricular activities are important but VT also offers people the opportunity to meet and work with people from all over the world. VT has a large population of people that represent many different cultures. This diversity allows everyone to learn about the similarities and differences of people from other parts of the world. An important aspect regarding the differences in the people is that once you become a Hokie everyone is the same.
